Outpatient Pediatrics
Children have unique needs as they recover from illness or injury, and our specialized pediatric therapists offer innovative methods to keep children engaged in ways that are productive and fun. Whether children are experiencing physical or developmental delays or are recovering from a serious medical event, outpatient therapists work collaboratively to get children back to school, recreational activities and family life. Using facilities like indoor and outdoor therapeutic playgrounds and a warm water therapy pool allow our littlest patients to enjoy therapy while building skills.

Madonna occupational therapists help patients of all ages recover from an illness or injury by empowering them to re-master activities of daily living. An occupational therapist may help a student with a disability learn to adapt to the classroom environment, an adult with a neurological condition perform tasks like cooking, cleaning, driving and laundry, or an aging adult experiencing cognitive changes to live at their maximum level of independence possible. Madonna occupational therapists can also provide in-home assessments to determine the suitability of the current living situation to a patient’s needs and abilities and suggest adaptations when necessary. Two of our TherapyPlus clinics are also equipped with a driving simulator that OTs may use to retrain and test drivers in a safe environment.
Madonna speech language pathologists (SLPs) help individuals overcome communication barriers, whether they are a child with struggles pronouncing words properly or an individual with a brain injury struggling with aphasia or a variety of other related conditions. SLPs can also provide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with language comprehension or expression disorders, such as autism spectrum disorder or progressive neurological disorders. Madonna SLPs can also provide assistance with feeding and swallowing, assessing a patient's abilities and implementing safe solutions for feeding.
